ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
The Associate Degree in Management Business Process Outsourcing is a specialized career-track program designed to prepare students for Jamaica’s dynamic Business Process Outsourcing Industry.
This degree is specifically designed to prepare individuals with middle management competence to work in the BPO industry. . Individuals with the Associate Degree in BPM can also continue into a Bachelor degree in Business Studies or Computer Studies.
WHO IS THE PROGRAMME FOR?
The Associate of Science Degree in Management Business Process Outsourcing is a specialized career-track program designed to prepare students for Jamaica’s dynamic Business Process Outsourcing Industry. This degree is specifically designed to prepare individuals with middle management competence to work in the BPO industry. Individuals with the Associate Degree in Management Business Process Outsourcing can also continue into a Bachelor degree in Business Studies or Computer Studies.
Persons with degrees or certificates in areas such as accounting, law, computer science, human resource management, can do the Associate Degree in Management Business Process Outsourcing so they can practice their skills in a BPO environment.
Either of the following: Standard Matriculation Five (5) CSEC subjects at grades 1 to 3 (grade 3 is accepted only after 1998) GCE grades A, B, C, or SSC grades 4 and 5, including Mathematics and English Language. Alternate Matriculation There are also opportunities for mature entry and students with HEART level 2 Call Center Operations (conditions apply).
The Associate of Science Degree in Business Process Management is sixty-two (62) credit programme currently offered full-time across four (4) semesters and part-time (evenings) across six (6) semesters. The programme comprises the following courses: General Education Courses Communication I (Pronunciation Guide) Communication 2 Fundamentals of Information Technology Pre-Calculus Support Courses Applied Finite Mathematics Business Ethics Business Statistics Conversational Spanish Data Mining and Analysis Fundamentals of Accounting Introduction to Logic and Critical Thinking Introduction to Management Introduction to Project Management Principles of Marketing Social Psychology (Human Behaviour & Emotional Intelligence) Specialization Courses Introduction to BPO Call Contact Centre Operations International English Pronunciation Customer Oriented Service World Culture: (North American & European) Practical Application in BPO Introduction to International Business Management Emerging Technology Elective: Computerized Accounting Software as a Service Troubleshooting

The programme is currently delivered full-time, part-time (evenings) or weekends depending on demand.
To be awarded the Associate of Science Degree in Management Business Process Outsourcing, a student must have: Completed all credits in the programme Completed all courses in the programme Completed all required hours of work experience
